2019  RULES & PROCEDURES

UPDATES:

SUPER STREET RULE AMENDMENT

REVISED SCUFF TIRE RULE

ALL DIVISIONS:

CONE-STYLE RESTARTS:

All restart line-ups will be determined by the ‘CONE-STYLE’ restart.

Initial restart line-ups will be determined by the last completed green flag lap. Cars involved in the caution shall blend back into the lineup when it is safe to do so. The Lucky Dog will be determined and will be lined up as the last car on the lead lap. All cars that are one lap or more down will be realigned behind the last car on the lead lap at the end of the longest line, AND WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE TO TAKE THE CONE.

When the one-to-go signal is given, a cone will be placed at the start/finish line. When the driver reaches the cone, the driver must decide which lane he/she wants to restart in, and will proceed either to the inside or the outside of the cone. When a driver passes the cone, either to the inside or the outside, this is the lane the driver will restart in. Once lane choice has been made it must not be changed.

The flagman will be in charge of all starts and restarts.

LUCKY DOG/CONSECUTIVE WINS POLICY:

Lucky Dog Rule:

Lucky Dog will apply to all divisions. Lucky Dog will be awarded to the 1st car one lap down at the time of the caution.

All lapped cars will move to the rear on restarts (no pulling up). If you spin out, are involved in, or cause a caution you will not be eligible for the Lucky Dog.

Consecutive Wins Policy:

Any driver that wins TWO consecutive races can start no better than 10th in their next race. Any driver that wins three consecutive races or more can start no better than last in their next race.

Competitors MUST qualify, and will be eligible for any posted awards.

RULES AND PROCEDURES FOR TWINS:

CAUTION LAPS WILL NOT COUNT.

STARTING POSITION FOR THE FIRST RACE WILL BE DETERMINED BY THE FASTEST LAP IN SECOND PRACTICE; the finishing order of first race will determine the starting order of the second race. THERE WILL BE A MANDATORY 8, 9 or 10-car INVERSION PRIOR TO THE START OF THE SECOND RACE BASED ON THE FINISHING ORDER OF THE FIRST RACE.

Drivers must run at least HALF OF THE laps of the first race to be eligible to start the second race. Crashes or mechanical failures will be exceptions.

The same (4) tires ran in the first race must be used for the second race. If a driver has a damaged or cut tire, only a scuff tire will be allowed as a replacement. Drivers have 20 minutes following the checkered flag of the first race to alert track officials that a replacement is needed. If a driver has to change a tire, the driver must start at the rear of the field. Turning of tires on rims will not be allowed. Bent or damaged rims can be replaced without penalty. Any tire or wheel changes must have prior approval of track officials.

If a driver incurs a flat tire during the race, a scuff tire of the team’s choice may be used. The tire in question will be inspected by track officials, and any subsequent ruling based on the inspection will be at the discretion of track officials.

GREEN-WHITE-CHECKERED FINISHES:

There will be a maximum of (3) attempts at a Green-White-Checkered finish. if the caution is displayed during the first (2) attempts prior to the white flag lap, the field will be realigned by the last completed green flag lap, for the exception of the cars involved in the caution.  Restarting positions of the cars involved in the caution will be determined based upon where cars blended back into the field after their involvement in the caution.

If the caution is displayed during the white flag lap of any attempt at a green-white checkered, THE RACE WILL BE OVER and the race order will be frozen with the cars involved in the caution placed at the end of their completed lap line.

If the caution is displayed at any time during the third and final attempt, THE RACE WILL BE OVER and the race order will be frozen with the cars involved in the caution placed at the end of their completed lap line.
