Rusty Wallace Karting Staff (Hiring Immediately)

You will work in a FUN and FAST PACED environment, a real dedication to customer service and the desire to ensure participants have a great time is paramount.  You must be customer service driven.  It's a great job for someone who wants to deliver a great product!  RWKE seeks multiple positions including mechanic, check-in staff, track control personnel and trackside manager.  Salary is commensurate with experience.  

Concession Worker (April – October)

During all regular, major, and special events, concession workers are responsible for providing food items to Motor Mile Speedway & Dragway fans and guests. This position will work directly under the guidance of the Concession Manager. The following guidelines are applicable to the position of the Concession Worker:

  • Assist in food preperation while maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all food service operations.

  • Responsible for accurate accounting and all transactions through point of sale system.

  • Provide excellent cusomter service skills and positive attitude.

  • Responsible for taking food and beverage orders, presenting prices, processing cash/credit card payments, and ensureing quick delivery of each order.

  • Work in a team environment that is dedicated to excellent customer service and food quality. Remain knowledgable of Serve Safe Standards and execute accordingly.

  • Responsible for cleaning, stocking and restocking of workstations and displays.

  • Help ensure adequate inventories of food items are readily available, advising the Concession Manager of any discrepancies.

  • Ensure customer complaints are immediately referred to the Concession Manager.

Specifics:

  • Must have flexible seasonal schedule during the months of April through October.

  • Must be open to learning multiple job functions during the season.

 

Cook (April – October)

During all regular, major, and special events, personnel is responsible for preparing concession menu items utilizing cooking equipment in a fast-paced environment. Must be aware of portion control, food waste, and sanitation standards.  This position will work directly under the guidance of the Concession Manager. The following guidelines are applicable to the position of Cook:

  • Must adhere to high food quality standards to ensure guest satisfaction.

  • Responsible for cooking and packaging food product which is prepared to order or kept warm until sold.

  • Receives orders from staff for food product requirements for guests orders.

  • Responsible for maintaining quality and production standards on all menu items. Food must be fresh and of high quality when served to the guests.

  • Responsible for portion control and serving temperatures of all products served in the concession stand.

  • Responsible for cleaning, stocking and restocking of workstations and displays.

  • Responsible for operating large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep fryers, and ovens.

  • Ensures that all work areas and equipment are clean, food products are properly stored, and utensils are clean and put away.

  • Maintains sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas.

Ticketing/Gate Control (April – October)

Personnel assigned to ticket sales and gate control positions are responsible for selling the appropriate ticket to incoming guests and ensuring orderly flow of guests into the facility. The following guidelines are applicable to the position of the Ticketing/Gate Control:

  • All ticket sellers will familiarize themselves with the appropriate wristbands and/or tickets to be sold and/or assigned to them that day.

  • Verify their daily start bank.

  • Provide excellent customer service skills while ensuring all guests entering Motor Mile Speedway & Dragway are treated with courtesy and respect.

  • At the conclusion of ticket sales, all required paperwork, including reconciliation shets and accouting forms will be completed.

  • Ensure each guest provides Motor Mile Speedway & Dragway a ticket for specific event.

  • At the end of each employee’s assigned shift, they will be resonsible for returning the associated supplies ( stamps, wristbands, buckets, etc.) and or materials.

  • Each employee will be held responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Parking Attendant (April – October)

During major and special events, personnel are required to facilitate the orderly flow of vehicles and maximaize the use of parking space.  The following guidelines are applicable to the position of the Parking Attendant:

  • Keep parking areas clean and orderly to ensure the space usage is maximized.

  • Direct motorists to parking areas/parking spaces, ensuring parking layout allows for guests to exit and enter.

  • Patrol parking areas to direct guests to open spots.

  • Patrol parking areas in order to prevent vehicle damage.

  • Ensure all guests entering Motor Mile Speedway & Dragway are treated with courtesy and respect.
