2010 Monster Truck Show: A Snapshot

It was a colossal Birthday party.
For the second consecutive season, monsters overtook the .416-mile oval Saturday night as the headlining act of Motor Mile Speedway's 4th of July celebration.
Five prominent monster trucks played host to a sold out crowd, along with a supporting cast that included jet-powered showpieces and a fireworks finale. Below is a snapshot of Saturday's extravaganza.
Grave Digger and Bad News Travels Fast get the green light in the final round of racing
The Virginia Giant and Samson lunge towards the finish line--- The Virginia Giant is noted as one of the first ten monster trucks to be built in the country
Grave Digger jumps past the Virginia Giant in eliminations
Undisputed fan favorite Grave Digger and wheelman Gary Porter take top honors in the racing portion of the evening's monster truck contests
Bad News Travels Fast, piloted by Bruce Haney, doing doughnuts for the fans
Digger's Delight: Fans dig the headliner of the 2010 Monster Truck Show
